WOGI EuroTaste Ride - Europe’s most inspiring culinary adventure where cycling meets sustainable gastronomy. Starting on March 1, 2026, from Salem, Germany, we’ll ride 18,000 km across 28 countries over eight months, celebrating local flavors, farmers, and eco-conscious cuisine. Each day brings a new city, a new dish, and a new story - cooking iconic national meals together with local chefs using regional ingredients. The journey is accompanied by 38 gastronomic roadshows, connecting communities, producers, and sustainability experts through live cooking, music, and cultural exchange. Through the WOGI App, participants and followers can share recipes, experiences, and sustainable challenges, building a European movement for responsible eating and mindful travel. WOGI EuroTaste Ride: Cycling Across Europe for Sustainable Gastronomy

Imagine cycling through Europe, savoring a new country’s national dish every day while hearing local stories and building a sustainable culinary movement. That’s the WOGI EuroTaste Ride - an extraordinary 8-month journey kicking off from Salem (Germany) on March 1, 2026, and showcasing the flavors of 28 countries. WOGI isn’t just an app; it’s a community that connects people through a love for sustainable food and local cultures.

During the WOGI EuroTaste Ride, we’ll stop in a new city each day to prepare and share that country’s iconic dish - from Italian carbonara to Spanish paella. We’ll source ingredients from local markets, talk with chefs and producers, and share the recipes on the WOGI app, where you can upload your own versions! Follow our journey through daily posts, behind-the-scenes stories, and live streams that bring Europe closer to you.

What makes this special? WOGI puts sustainability and community at its core. With the app, you’ll not only find recipes but also join a global movement celebrating local ingredients and eco-conscious cooking. WOGI EuroTaste Ride - Cycling Across Europe for Sustainable Gastronomy

Duration: approx. 8 months

Distance: 18,000 km (19.950 km by ferry and train)

Countries: 28

Daily average: about 75 km

Accommodation: camping in designated campgrounds or local hosts

Participation fee: none - this is a community-based gastronomic tour

 

Purpose The WOGI EuroTaste Ride is Europe’s most inspiring gastronomic and cultural adventure - an 18,000 km cycling journey celebrating national dishes, local producers, and sustainable gastronomy. Each day, the team arrives in a new city to cook a national dish together with local chefs and farmers, using locally sourced ingredients. ​

 

What happens on the road?

- Ingredients are purchased directly from local markets and producers.

- Each day, a new traditional dish is cooked with a local chef.

- Recipes and videos are shared on the WOGI App, where users can upload their own versions.

- The journey is documented through daily posts, live streams, and a documentary film. ​

 

Who can join?

 

Anyone is welcome to join for a day, a week, or an entire leg of the journey.

No competition, no fees - just enthusiasm, openness, and team spirit. This is not a race, but a shared cultural and gastronomic experience. Accommodation and meals Participants camp in official campgrounds or nature-friendly areas, often cooking together with ingredients from local producers. Each day offers the joy of cycling, shared meals, and authentic cultural encounters. ​

 

Community participation Participation is free of charge, but we kindly ask every rider to:

The last leg starts in Finland and ends in Germany. In this leg, we start in Finland and travel through Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Greece, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, before returning to Germany at the end of October.

The next big leg starts in Edinburgh and goes to Helsinki. This is our northern tour, so we planned it for the summer, so we have some very pleasant months ahead of us as we travel from Scotland, through Great Britain, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Norway, Sweden and then to Finland.

In this stage we will travel from Portugal to Scotland, cycling north from Porto through Great Britain and Ireland for the next month and a half. The stage starts in Porto and ends in Edinburgh.

Launch WOGI with a dynamic Western European segment. From Salem, we cycle west along the Rhine (Germany, France), then south along the Atlantic coast (Spain, Portugal). The block ends in Porto, where the next block begins. (Germany, France, Spain, Portugal.)
